It's 9 AM and we were not emotionally prepared for this, so we're giving you a warning: If you're not ready to cry, save this post for a time when you are and then come back to it.

So, everyone who's here is ready for a good emotional release? Amazing. Meet Scout, a kitty who was raised with an older dog, Charlie. Scout immediately took to Charlie and they became best friends. They were inseparable - they would eat together, sleep together, play together, everything. Scout loved to smell Charlie's ears, and Charlie would just lay there while she enjoyed herself. Two weeks ago, Charlie passed away from cancer. Scout, and the owner, were devastated. It was clear that Scout missed Charlie, and when they put videos of Charlie on the iPad for Scout to watch, Scout would watch them silently, so intensely focused, then lay down on the iPad in an attempt to be closer to Charlie. We're even tearing up as we write this, it's so heartfelt, sad, and beautiful at the same time. The pictures below make it even more emotional, so buckle up.

This is an honest message from us to you - love your pets every second you are with them. Kiss them more, and when you are playing with them really be with them. They deserve your full attention and before you know it, they will be gone. We're signing off now to get a tissue, but we love you all. Now go give your pet snuggles ASAP!

Just this image alone is enough to get us all teary eyed. It's a stereotype that dogs and cats don't get along, but we've seen just as many that do. And when they do, it seems magical and beautiful. Two friends from different species, proving that love can't be restricted to what's on the outside.

Here come the waterworks. Look how snuggled they are! They look so comfy and cute, like two perfect pieces of a puzzle. Although this story made us cry, it also made us feel such a deep sense of love and appreciation for our pets, and also a good reminder of how much they actually feel from the world around them!
